The inlet salt waters surrounding the Kenai Peninsula are a semi-natural fishery to five species of salmon. The State of Alaska grants permission to state residents to dip net the north and south beaches at the mouth of the Kenai River. Dip net harvested salmon are intended for non-commercial use.
